SECOND CHANCE ANGEL The Last Stop Station Series, Book 1

Jennifer Jill Araya, David Drummond, and Natasha Soudek narrate a noir-tinged sci-fi romp. Ralston Muck, an ex-soldier, is working as a bouncer when the club's star vanishes, and he is drawn into a messy scheme. Drummond tinges his portrayal of Muck with a weariness and cynicism that are perfect for someone who has fallen from grace. Araya's portrayal of Angel, the sentient AI, is both practical and emotionally complex. The simpler AIs, voiced by Soudek, are appropriately devoid of emotion until they become infected by a virus that causes them to deteriorate into inappropriate giggles and profanity. Ultimately, the fridging of a seemingly major character and flawed plot logic may deter some who would otherwise enjoy this solid narration.
