Narrator Jack de Golia provides just the right tone of incredulity in this sparkling audiobook. Will and his wife, Beth, are gobsmacked when their son, Will, and their dog, Indy, run into a rip in space-time that pops up in their yard. Suburban dad Will bravely charges after them into the rift, where he encounters casualty cops and zombies and traipses through a cosmic junkyard while Beth runs interference back home. Everyone is out of their element except for their guide, time cop Sh-Donn. That disorientation is reflected in de Golia's versatile performance, which brings to life diverse characters ranging from a precocious preteen boy to a junkyard denizen.
