AN ILL WIND

Not only is W.E. Roberts a trained actor and narrator, he is also the author of this appealing police procedural. Arnie Rednapp, a news reporter, becomes entangled in a criminal investigation in northern California that uncovers corrupt politicians, drug cartels, pedophiles, and murder. Arnie, as written and presented by Roberts, is smart, genial, and soft-spoken but bent on seeking out evildoers and bringing them to justice. Other memorable characters include an engaging deputy sheriff, a tough but amiable mountain man, various other law enforcement officers, and some frightening villains.
