WINSTON CHURCHILL Man of the Century

Professor Ramsden provides an excellent overview of the life and times of Winston Churchill, no doubt one of the greatest figures of the twentieth century. Churchill embodied the theory that it is the individual person who makes history rather than soulless historical trends. As the right man at the right time, he epitomized Western resistance to fascism. He was out of power most of his political life, but such was his genius in oratory and the written word that he was rarely out of the public mind. Professor Ramsden, who has a distinguished list of academic achievements, talks one-on-one with the listener. We are not projected into a classroom, but rather we sit down with him and listen.
