HOSTAGE TO MURDER

This slow-starting mystery features Lindsay Gordon, an out-of-work reporter, and her partner, Sophie, in their quest for Sophie to get pregnant, and Rory McLaren, a freelance reporter. Once the listener finally learns of the hostage situation, Rory and Lindsay begin their hunt to unravel the crime. Narrating in a quiet voice, Vari Sylvester sounds emotionally uninvolved as she describes both action scenes and the intimate relationship between Lindsay and Sophie. Sylvester handles the details with professional aplomb while following the two-pronged plot to get Sophie pregnant and find the kidnapped child.
