FAITHFUL TRAVELERS

After his father dies and his eleven-year marriage breaks up, James Dodson takes his 7-year-old daughter, Maggie, on a fly-fishing trip that proves to be an emotional and spiritual adventure for them both. The most attractive part of this audio memoir is Dodson's thoughtful prose expressed in his own voice, with his own stresses and pauses. Deeply personal stories like this one almost require the author to speak the narrative in order to give the piece a sense of authenticity.
