BLACK WATER

The supernatural sounds perfectly plausible in this newest thriller from T. J. MacGregor. A mass of black water off the Florida Keys may hold the answer to the disappearance of several children over a period of years. When her feisty 14-year-old daughter, Annie, is kidnapped into the blackness, psychic Mira Morales, her grandmother, and FBI Agent Wayne Sheppard are caught in a nightmare of quantum physics, psychic links, and time-travel. Henry Strozier's performance is mesmerizing. His quietly spooky tones capture the exact feeling of each of MacGregor's many fascinating characters. MacGregor writes nontraditional mysteries featuring heart-pounding nonstop action and clever plot twists. When these are combined with Strozier's reading, even skeptics of paranormal phenomena will be willing to go along with the suspense. S.J.H.
