Judd, professor of British and Commonwealth history at London Metropolitan University, presents an excellent overview of the ascension of the British to world dominance from the time of Tudors through the death of Victoria. While this is a history that takes a "big picture" view, there are plenty of delightful tidbits the listener can take away. The British view of our War of Independence is quite interesting. Judd is an experienced lecturer; listeners will benefit from his knowledge and speaking skill. He is measured and clear in his delivery. Indeed, these are really engaging conversations with the audience. A couple of added bonuses are Judd's answers to questions posed by students and a study guide.
