OLIVE should be required listening for female Millennials. This work of domestic fiction explores issues such as female bonding, ticking biological clocks, societal expectations, romantic partnerships, and career aspirations. The chipper, sometimes cheeky voice of English actor Sian Clifford tells Olive's story and makes her sympathetic despite her many errors in judgment and lack of sensitivity. While this audiobook might be described as classic chick-lit, it does highlight the question of whether to bear a child or remain child-free. Olive is pressured by society to become a mother like her best friends. Clifford gives all the characters in the story vivid, distinctive personalities and keeps them from becoming clichés.
