TAINNA

In TAINNA, which means "the unseen ones," Inuk-Canadian author Norma Dunning brings together six short stories centered on Inuit characters living in southern Canada. Appropriately, the narrators themselves are Indigenous Canadian actors, with the feminine narration provided by emotive Tanis Parenteau and the masculine narration by baritone-voiced Eric Schweig. The stories feature characters--rich and poor, living and dead, from all walks of life--who have a wide range of experiences. The stories touch on some rough and gritty themes, such as difficult family relations, substance abuse, and prostitution.
