NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE Stories

This ensemble performance of Newman's loosely interconnected short stories is sure to captivate listeners. Six voice artists present tales related to Alaska as a place of memories, destination, last resort, and reinvention. Carlotta Brentan, Erin deWard, Jackie Sanders, Aven Shore, and Erin Ruth Walker tell stories of women battling both the wild landscape and the psychological blows of living in a male-dominated environment. In "Slide and Glide," Sean Patrick Hopkins tells the story of a young father who learns of his wife's infidelity while on a winter retreat with family. Hopkins memorably conveys the husband's hurt and suppressed rage. These eight powerful stories are told with authenticity and intensity.
