BRAS AND BROOMSTICKS

by | Read by Ariadne Meyers

Young Adult • 8.25 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2005

High school freshman Rachel thinks it’s a joke when her mother tells her that her little sister has developed the powers to be a witch. Responsible list-making Miri wants to be cautious with her new skills. But Rachel has little compunction about manipulating Miri into using her powers to get them whatever they want. While Rachel has her shallow moments, as do most teens, Ariadne Meyers keeps her realistic, if not always likable. Meyers gives the other characters enough distinction to round out the story, and the youthfulness of her voice will invite teen listeners to relate to the ensuing trials and tribulations.
