BURNED

Regan Reilly, recently engaged L.A. private detective, wants one last fling with her girlfriends in Hawaii before she says, “I do.” When a mysterious body washes ashore near their Hawaiian hotel, this comic murder mystery takes off. The author narrates with humor and skill, developing quirky characters such as the mysterious “over-the-hill” twins and the man with “overly long” toes. She switches genders, ages, and character styles seamlessly, using pitch, timing, and subtle nuances to round out the characters and bring them to life.
