MURDER AT FIVE FINGER LIGHT

Iditarod veteran, dog trainer, and kennel owner Jessie Arnold, recuperating from a knee injury, agrees to join a lighthouse renovation team with friends who have become its caretakers. They don't realize that some on the Alaskan island have more nefarious activities in mind, including drug smuggling. Jessie's recuperation gives the latest in Henry's series a low-key tone very different from that of previous books. Furthermore, Henry overdoes the details, dulling the suspense. Narrator Staci Snell provides a minimalist narration that manages to enhance the quiet story.
