Dr. Grace Adams is on the brink of a breakthrough in her work on genetically modified food. Her goal is to ease world hunger through science. Narrator Graham Padden rises to the challenge as he presents an international cast of characters who support, oppose, and compete with Dr. Adams. Docherty's complex story runs the gamut of drama and emotion, with Padden maintaining an equilibrium that keeps listeners on track.
