CONRAD'S FATE

No fantasy author creates a sense of place better than Diana Wynne Jones, and Gerard Doyle is the perfect narrator for this adventure, set in a magical castle on a grand estate where whole buildings appear and disappear at the blink of an eye. Fans of earlier Chrestomanci tales will recognize familiar characters whom Doyle personifies with just the right spark of magic and mayhem. The first-person narrative makes this adventure all the more personal, and Doyle’s ability to vocally shift from one character to another propels the listener through Conrad’s quest as he encounters charlatans, thieves, actors, and scores of wizards and witches.
