THE CABBAGE PATCH CURSE

Paul Jennings outdoes himself in this short, hilarious addition to the Cabbage Patch series. Poor Chris never finds privacy in his large family. He can't even relieve himself in peace. Sometimes he sneaks out into the garden to have a solitary pee among the family's cabbage patch. Now, horror of horrors, a cabbage is beginning to resemble him! Rebecca Macauley wonderfully conveys this eccentric Australian family and the humiliation Chris faces as he realizes he can only "go" beside his head of cabbage. Along with Macauley's skill, there are delightful sound effects, which accompany all Bolinda productions of Paul Jennings. Laughs for all.
