THE SPUD FROM OUTER SPACE

Nigel Lambert's spirited delivery enhances this lively but farfetched story. Cruncher adores potato crisps (chips), hence, his nickname. He's excited when his beloved Granddad introduces him to the man who makes his precious chips. Lambert is hilarious as various old men, especially Granddad, and he's just as enjoyable as Cruncher, an average kid who wants to act and sound more grown-up as he enters his new school. When Cruncher and friends need to band together to defeat the Spud from Outer Space, unusual heroes are born, laughs abound, and there are even a few lessons about stars, space, and potato-chip-making!
