This compendium provides a little something for every day of the year--a poem or story, practical list or concept reinforcement, favorite folk tale. Characters range from one's own family to Dr. Dog and his compatriots and the familiar world of the farmyard. No doubt there will be hours of listening pleasure over the course of years for young children and their families. Animated and refreshing narration for such a work is no small task. Each narrator's enthusiasm for the day at hand is heartfelt. While there is distinction among the characters, there is an omnipresent and reassuring sense of a familiar storyteller.
