In this second installment of Christian author Kingsbury's Firstborn series, Hollywood actor Dayne Matthews travels to idyllic Indiana to shoot a movie. Narrator Sandra Burr's smooth, intense voice reveals the disquietude in Dayne's life as he searches for spiritual guidance and seeks to reestablish his relationship with Katy Hart, who is in Indiana. As Katy and Dayne spend time together, Burr imbues each character with a distinctive voice. She highlights not only the seductive yearning in Dayne's tone, but his cynicism towards Katy's unwavering Christian faith. Burr breathes life into the character of Katy as her heartfelt emotions collide with her belief that a future with Dayne is impossible.
