The Baron's daughter has been abducted and her reputation besmirched. So Colin McElreath is giving up his status as a bachelor in the Free Fellows League in order to save Gillian's good name. Virginia Leishman depicts the characters of the Regency Era in a lofty accent when that is needed and then turns on her luscious throaty tones when the action requires the moods of wedded bliss, which follows the marriage ceremony in less than one chapter. The quality of Leishman's voice is lyrical, and she uses it brightly to keep the listener alert to the historical background and social strata in England and France during this period.
