In this 1934 farce, we meet Oscar Jaffe, a self-important Broadway director, and Lily Garland, the chorus girl he once transformed into a leading lady. Now bankrupt and desperate, Oscar encounters Lily on a train and pulls out all the stops to persuade her to appear in his upcoming show. This classic comedy is an audio delight. The quick and clever presentation simply shines with insider jokes and stereotypical situations-each one a gem. Nancy Bell as Lily Garland shows off an entire range of diva emotions in full volume.
