THE FWOG PWINCE - THE TWUTH!

In the tradition of alternative fairy tales, the author searches out the real personalities behind the story of the Frog Prince, who, despite the wonder of enchanted metamorphosis, remains very ugly indeed! The narrator has plenty of dramatic and character material to work with, and she exploits it fully. Her characterizations are distinct and true to the funny, and often abominable, personalities. Toksvig moves lithely among characters: a petulant princess, querulous prince, pedantic king and vindictive hag. The enthusiasm of her adept performance is infectious.
