Her material is provocative, though her delivery--sometimes a whispery, confidential tone--takes a little getting used to. Voices of "guest appreciators" (testimonials from the converted) also weave in and out, striking the ear oddly, both because they pop up randomly and because many appreciators sound as though they've rehearsed their "spontaneous" remarks. But Nelson's research--that appreciative people lead healthier, less stressed, and overall happier lives than their less-appreciative counterparts--compels one to keep one listening.
