GIDEON'S FIRE

Gideon's usual combination of police cases, personal family issues, colleagues and criminals loads the story with numerous plots and subsplots. The powerful solidity of Commander George Gideon, C.I.D., is inspiringly portrayed by Clifford Norgate. Using gifted inflection,he draws all the characters are drawn with great variety and charm. Even bit parts sparkle with vivacity and are remembered for the vocal portrait. The Gideon series, which has a certain dryness when read, is invigorated by the audio presentation and offers an excellent reason to revisit the series.
