This second installment in Michaels's Revenge of the Sisterhood Series revolves around the friendship of seven unique women as they plot revenge. Sisterhood member Julia Webster is suffering from AIDS after contracting the disease from her philandering husband, and the women plan vengeance against him. Myra Rutledge, matriarch of the Sisterhood, and her partner, Charles, also enlist the help of the women to exact retribution against a family that has bilked their HMO. Laural Merlington is expert at accents; she easily transitions from Charles's upper-crust British accent to Myra's soft but commanding Southern drawl. Merlington's expert modulation in vocal intensity aptly conveys each speaker's emotions, firmly establishing her as an expert storyteller.
