Middle schoolers will be captivated by this audiobook, not only because of its story about hip teenagers, but also because of its cool Australian narrator. Rebecca Macauley capably depicts six teenaged schoolmates whose Teen Power club takes on odd jobs to earn money. Along the way they get involved in a creepy magician’s shop and the mystery of the vicious street mugger nicknamed “The Gripper.” Macauley’s energy and tempo are an appealing enhancement to the fast-paced story, and her portrayals of the various Teen Power kids add dimension to each character.
