BAD DAY FOR BALLET

Who stole the soundtrack for the ballet recital? Was it the disgruntled janitor who would need to work on a Sunday or the 6-year-old unhappy about going to work with his mother or one of the dancers displeased with her role in the production? Leave it to Nancy Drew, a student at the ballet school, to solve the mystery, with the help of friends George and Bess. Nancy Wu is an unobtrusive narrator who lets the events unfold with nary a hint of foreshadowing. She aptly voices the emotions of the young sleuths, at times eager and at times despondent in their quest AND the imperious temperament of the ballet mistress.
