RASCAL'S TRICK

Rascal and the other dragons are frustrated when the Big Bad Cat continually steals their tea (supper). Sherry and Ben decide to teach the dragons how to outsmart the greedy cat. Along with funny sound effects such as cat sleeping sounds and burps, reader Rebecca Macauley gives Paul Jennings's quirky characters her best narration. Since Rascal sleeps through the training, he is awake to thwart the cat, save everyone's tea, and become the hero. There are three versions of this short piece for early readers/listeners--one with original music, one with the narrator's voice alone, and one with page-turning prompts.
