RHIANNA AND THE CASTLE OF AVALON The Girl, the Queen, and the Castle

Evil forces are at work in the kingdom of Avalon when wild mage Rhianna answers the summons of the queen. Despite the enticing plot, listeners may be disappointed in this sequel to RHIANNA AND THE DOGS OF IRON. Mikaela Martin's delivery of this adventure fails to match the complexity offered by the author. Martin expresses Rhianna's intelligence and the queen's regal demeanor well, but these are the only clear personality traits portrayed in a story filled with many charismatic and detailed characters. Rhianna races to find the wicked ones before the dragons declare war on the kingdom, yet Martin's drab delivery fails to reflect the drama and excitement that fill the story.
