THE FOOD OF LOVE

by | Read by Rocco Sisto

Fiction • 10.75 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2004

The text and the narration of this comic romance suggest the pacing of a fine meal. As with a new flavor, one must acquire a taste for Rocco Sisto's deep voice, but in the end it is familiar and satisfying. He also applies a sweet tone to protagonist Laura Patterson, an American studying in Rome. As she encounters Tomasso, presumably a chef, the narration reflects both the joys and sorrows of her new love. Sisto ably carries the listener through a menu of complications, arriving at last at dessert for Laura and her chef. Listeners are advised that merely hearing the descriptions of the fabulous Italian meals served to Laura will pack on 10 pounds. J.J.B. © AudioFile 2007, Portland, Maine [Published: APR/ MAY 07]
