THE FOOD OF LOVE

The text and the narration of this comic romance suggest the pacing of a fine meal. As with a new flavor, one must acquire a taste for Rocco Sisto's deep voice, but in the end it is familiar and satisfying. He also applies a sweet tone to protagonist Laura Patterson, an American studying in Rome. As she encounters Tomasso, presumably a chef, the narration reflects both the joys and sorrows of her new love. Sisto ably carries the listener through a menu of complications, arriving at last at dessert for Laura and her chef.
