MRS. POLLIFAX AND THE SECOND THIEF

The intrepid Mrs. Pollifax is off on a new adventure, responding to a call for help from former CIA operative John Farrell, who is in Sicily in hiding. He is sure he has seen an assassin who is supposed to be in a French prison, and he has been shot while trying to steal a document. Barbara Rosenblat individualizes the characters' voices so convincingly that each comes to life, leaving no doubt as to gender and age, and her French and Italian accents are perfect. She injects drama and suspense and is effective at portraying the humorous bits as well. Overall, this is an enjoyable listening experience.
