A DAY WITH A PERFECT STRANGER

Here's an attention-getting story line: A skeptical wife and mother discovers God on a long plane ride with several people, one of whom turns out to be Jesus. Author David Gregory is a master of dialogue and has equally impressive insight into how unfeeling people can become when they overlook God. Ellen Reilly is an appealing interpreter of this material. More importantly, she keeps it real with her practical grasp of the story's dynamic. In the end, the heroine works through her skepticism and learns how to find a connection with God that will be hard for most listeners to dismiss.
