DINNER WITH A PERFECT STRANGER / A DAY WITH A PERFECT STRANGER

by | Read by Jeff Woodman [Dinner with] , Ellen Reilly [Day With]

Philosophy & Religion • 4 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1973

In the first of these stories, a cocky businessman, husband, and father is invited to dinner with Jesus at a local Italian restaurant. As the meal proceeds, our hero discovers more longing and uncertainty in himself, and more answers from his dinner companion than he expected to find. Jeff Woodman's youthful enthusiasm is almost too youthful, but he's enjoyable to hear and ultimately believable. In the second story, the businessman's wife reels from her husband's newfound "obsession" with Jesus but experiences her own transformation during a similar encounter with fellow air travelers. Ellen Reilly is a treat to hear. She keeps this fantastic story down-to-earth with her practical grasp of its religious and secular dynamics.
