THE MAN FROM STONE CREEK

by | Read by Buck Schirner

Romantic Fiction • 11 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2006

This love story of two people determined never to fall in love sparkles with the talent of narrator Buck Schirner. The chasing of train robbers and rustlers in an Arizona border town is almost incidental to the love story. Not surprisingly, Schirner characterizes Sam O'Ballivan as a schoolteacher/undercover agent with a commanding presence. Maddie, postmistress and mercantile store manager, is depicted as beautiful, single, and demure--that is, until O'Ballivan disciplines her younger brother, a rambunctious frontier kid. Schriner's portrayal of their confrontation over the boy is reminiscent of old-time radio plays. This somewhat predictable story is exceptionally well done.
