THE RED HAT SOCIETY'S QUEENS OF WOODLAWN AVENUE

Being recently divorced and having just turned 50, Ellie Johnson is at a crossroads. With the help of her new neighbors, Ellie is able to pick up the pieces and find her true self. Narrator Staci Snell provides warmth and tenderness as she portrays the Queens of Woodlawn Avenue, who each provide life lessons to Ellie while claiming her as their fourth in a neighborhood bridge club. Snell is careful never to sound condescending, but to show true compassion in her rendering. In addition to the light Southern drawls, Snell uses a realistic accent while portraying Ellie's new French boyfriend.
