Do not listen to this audiobook in the dark! Brandon Massey is often likened to Stephen King. In this eerie tale of a successful African-American mystery writer looking for the woman of his dreams that comparison seems apt. Dion Graham does not as much narrate as conjure this story. Massey's words are highly effective, but it is Graham's voice that creeps under the skin and into the psyche. The voices of his human characters sound conversational.
