EXILES Star Trek: Vulcan's Soul, Book 2

Richard Poe takes on the emotionless precision of a Vulcan as he narrates this second volume of the saga about the origin of the Vulcan/Romulan split. Continuing where VULCAN'S SOUL BOOK I: EXODUS left off, the story switches back and forth between the 23rd-century Starfleet and the fourth-century crisis that sent many Vulcans into space to find a new home. EXILES suffers the curse of all middle-children in trilogies: lacking resolution, it exists mostly as a bridge between Part 1 and Part 3. One gets the feeling Sherman and Shwartz had to inflate the story in order to fill its length.
