IRIS AND WALTER AND THE BIRTHDAY PARTY

Best friends Iris and Walter are very excited about Walter's upcoming birthday and the party to celebrate it. Walter's horse, Rain, who is expecting a foal, makes her special delivery and gives Walter someone to share his birthday with. Young listeners will feel as though their grandmother is telling them a story when they hear Barbara McCulloh's reassuring, maternal yet friendly tone. McCulloh makes clear but subtle changes in her voice to let listeners know of changes in character.
