Kate Reading and Michael Kramer return with the seventh in the Wheel of Time series. The quest of Elayne, Aniendha, and Matt continues as they gather together women who channel to restore the damage that has been done to the weather in this post-apocalyptic world. Rand continues in his efforts to maintain his equilibrium as he battles against the shadows of Shadar. This complex series is best tackled in sequence. Kramer's characterization of Elayne when she in her mode of imperious daughter is a bit exaggerated. But, in general, the two narrators pass the story back and forth seamlessly, keeping their characters well in hand. J.E.M. © AudioFile 2007, Portland, Maine [Published: AUG/ SEP 07]
