HASTENED TO THE GRAVE

Thoroughly documented and painstakingly presented, each phase of Fay Faron's four-year investigation offers compelling evidence in this true-crime story. Members of the Tene Bimbo Gypsy family allegedly befriended elderly, wealthy property owners, coercing them into signing over property and wills. Other evidence strongly suggests poisoning. Susie Breck's perky narration at times punches out each word. At other times, she races through the copy, running words and phrases together. Her presentation sounds forced, lacking the conviction and authority of preparation. Characterizations, however, distinguish the players well.
