Poor Angus is not only stuck with an unpleasant nickname, Bumface, he's also saddled with a younger brother and sister as his celebrity mother becomes even more busy. Also, his father is totally helpless. Author Gleitzman narrates with wit, but he also illuminates the unfairness of the burden placed on Angus. The vocally talented Gleitzman skillfully presents whispered conversations and rants like a perfect bully. Eventually Angus takes drastic action to remind everyone he's just a kid. Along the way, kindhearted Angus helps his Indian school friend escape an arranged marriage. Gleitzman handles the accents, age groups (including babies), and multiple story lines like the pro he is.
