Bringing history to life via the spoken word is obviously Professor Guelzo's passion. Riveting delivery may not be what you remember from college history lectures, but Guelzo's academic expertise and competence with the audio medium might just make you want to return to the classroom. The tour de force production is a great library investment, especially for kids, who will experience American history coming to life. Listeners may even want to lobby the Teaching Company for a sequel. There's much more the professor could have covered but for the need to triage the vast store of information making up his narration of THE AMERICAN MIND.
