LAMB

by | Read by Fisher Stevens

Fiction • 15 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2002

The Angel Raziel charges Christ's boyhood friend, Biff, with writing a gospel to fill in the missing story of His early years. It's hard to imagine a better Biff than Fisher Stevens. He brings to life a varied cast, including the petulant, clueless Angel Raziel, the wise Mary Magdalene, and the obsessively righteous John the Baptist. While appropriately tongue-in-cheek, Stevens captures the loving innocence of Jesus, as well as the complexity of Biff. LAMB is laugh-out-loud funny, crude, wickedly ticklish, occasionally wise, wildly irreverent, and surprisingly poignant. Some will, no doubt, be offended by the sex, toilet humor, and overall irreverence, but others will beg for more Moore. E.S. © AudioFile 2007, Portland, Maine [Published: JUN/ JUL 07]
