Sassy teenager Georgia Nicholson returns in her seventh book. Plagued by typical adolescent woes relating to family, friends, and boys, she often turns to her diary or invents new vocabulary to express her angst, such as calling her life the "cake shop of agony." Author and narrator Louise Rennison does an admirable job of bringing her heroine to life--after all, she knows the material best. While some listeners may find Georgia's stories and high jinks a bit trite, this will be a fun listen for fans of British chick-lit and Georgia's past stories. While the narration may tend toward the overdramatic, it's in line with Georgia's theatrics. M.R.P. © AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine [Published: JUNE 2008]
