Country singer Alana Reeves is suffering from amnesia and haunted by nightmares. She can't stand human contact after a tragic accident in the mountains causes the death of her estranged husband and singing partner. An old flame insists on accompanying her to the scene of the accident to help her remember the truth about it, and the days that followed. Narrator Laural Merlington is convincing as the panic-stricken heroine and portrays the rugged Rafe Winter with masculine huskiness. Although the repeated use of pet names may distract listeners from the story, Merlington's performance is solid and will keep listeners engaged.
