THE HORSE THIEF

Zane Grey takes the listener back to the days of the Old West. Follow the trail of Dale Brittenham as he seeks the answer to why so many horses are disappearing. When he inadvertently discovers where the stolen horse are, he uncovers the truth about a horse-theft ring operating in Idaho and Montana. This abridgment is beautifully narrated by Robert Foxworth, who uses only a few voices so as not to confuse the listener. Cut to only one tape, the sound effects help with transitions, characterizations and build the suspense. An excellent rendition of a timeless tale.
