DARK RIVER Book Two of the Fourth Realm Trilogy

Scott Brick returns as the narrator of this second installment in Twelve Hawks's futuristic thriller, which began with THE TRAVELER. Brick's narration is again top-notch--although some of the plot sequences he delivers seem familiar. Two brothers with extra-human powers are called travelers: Gabriel, the good one, and Michael, who joins up with the Brotherhood, an evil movement dedicated to the enslavement of humankind. Gabriel, who is on the run, is protected by Maya, a harlequin. There's even a computer program that lets the Brotherhood spy on everyone. As the villains search for Gabriel and Maya, Brick's sardonic voice adroitly propels listeners through scores of action scenes that will keep them on the edge and waiting for the next installment.
