MEGATRENDS 2010 The Rise of Conscious Capitalism

A veteran trend-watcher says that after the Information Age will come something more personal. Corporate fixation with mechanical or ideational approaches to making money will give way to organizational styles that rely more on the values and conscience of individuals, and that create products and services that are good for communities. Among the seven trends she predicts are consumers becoming more value-conscious in their buying, middle managers leading with their values instead of raw authority, and investors making companies be more socially responsible.
