Two scientists are nominated for a Nobel Prize for discovering, in a small Italian village, the DNA link to heart disease and a way to synthesize a cure for it. Intrigue develops as different groups vie for the discovery, each for their own reasons. There’s lots of murder and mayhem, with hero Jake Adams coming to the rescue. With his deep voice and natural reading style, Stefan Rudnicki turns in a smooth and seamless performance. His German accent is excellent, and his British accent is, wisely, not overdone. Rudnicki turns in a good performance, though the story leaves the listener wishfully thinking about the new miracle drug. S.S.R. © AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine [Published: FEB/ MAR 08]
